Amargasaurus model

Price per Unit (piece): Call for Pricing

Meaning: Amargasaurus means 'Lizard from La Amarga', (Argentina)

Herbivore: A large long necked sauropod feeding off trees and other vegetation

When it Lived: Early Cretaceous (131 - 125 million years ago)

Size: Amargasaurus grew to around 10 metres long.

Location known: South America, Argentina.

This dinosaur was quite bizarre, having long spines protruding from it's neck and along its back for unknown reasons - they may have been for a type of defence or most likely for display purposes... or even, possibly, a thermoregulatory purpose (if covered in skin).
