Meaning: Ankylosaurus means 'Fussed, stiff or bent Lizard'
Herbivore: It browsed off the lower vegetation of the Cretaceous landscape.
When it Lived: Late Cretaceous – around 70 to 65 million years ago.
Size: Ankylosaurus grew to around 10.7 metres long and was, in effect, a walking, armoured tank – even its eyelids were armoured.
Location known: North America, also track ways have been found in Bolivia, South America.
